EVERY PASSION IS BLIND AND WILD

The artist Vladislav Mamyshev-Monro, a genius of transformation, portrays his own passions in front of the camera - passions that take hold of all of us at times and are reflected in our faces. This is why we recognise them in the face of the artist, but are nevertheless convinced that terms like "in a face maddened by passion" have no relevance to our own faces. For us the reflection of passion is acting: Pierrot, Petrushka, to whom Vladislav Monro boldly stretches out a hand from modern times, being certain, however, that "in time mad passions desert the rational person".

ВСЯКАЯ СТРАСТЬ СЛЕПА И БЕЗУМНА

Гений перевоплощений, художник Владислав Мамышев-Монро изображает перед фотокамерой свои собственные страсти. Страсти, которые нас всех подчас одолевают и отражаются на наших лицах. Поэтому мы узнаем их на лице художника. Но все равно убеждены, что определение «на обезумевшем от страсти лице» к нашим лицам никакого отношения не имеет. Для нас отражение страсти – это актерство: Пьеро, Петрушка, руку которым из наших дней и протягивает Владислав Монро, уверенный, однако, что «со временем безумные страсти покидают разумного человека».
